Bugger .. start again ..
yes it’s take a while to get around to this ..pinky just hit cancel key , just deleted what I’d just written .
this is the short one ..as need to drive a bus in 30 mins ..
Yes , the Itch got Scratched .
Oct 21 , 22 , 23 did the FR LDM Port MacDonnell . SA .
route was changed a few times , in the week leading up to Oct 21 , due to lots of water coming down , causing much water rising.
left home , at Stupid ‘ O ‘ Clock Fri 21st . First fuel 1:56
.had to pretty much go into Melbourne on M31 , got on M80 easy , however in Friday lunchtime traffic , missed the M8 exit .
bugger , gave myself a tour of that fine City , eventually made my escape got Footscray , saw sign M8 , Ballarat .
Yes , perfect , no longer trapped in an unfamiliar maze .
Hamilton over night , a dry motel room , most welcome after being rained upon for the best part of Friday
Saturday 22nd , crossed into South Australia , Gambier arrived Port MacDonnell
met up with 9 others for lunch and chats , was damn good to see after a fair while .
couple of hours past . Time to roll on . Remainder of my Saturday , Gambier , Portland , Warrnambool overnight Colac .
Sunday 23 , Straight lined it to Pitt Town . NSW . Home at 19:00
total odo for ride 2773 ks
Guess I went to South Australia ..... For Steak Sandwich .... yes it was damn good .
would suggest , if travelling in the Mount Gambier region . Go to Port MacDonnell .

Thanks for the replies .. took a few cracks , left out some bits I’d liked to have included .. life .. not on socials as yet , other then IBA and Far Roads forum .
i make many errors ... many .. maybe a bit strange , in this world . oh well
It’s important to me too post the following ..
i have access to the wisdom , help , advise from friends whom are seasoned IBA riders .and FR ..
example . Victoria’s recent and current floods ...
few phone calls , great chats , best advise , sure a longer travel. But , my old K , didn’t have to swim . That’s very important .
We have truly good people here .
