I earlier responded to JohnG regarding if anymore information was available for the Memorial service. Other than the time and date we had not released any further information until now.

We held off on information regarding the Memorial Service so as to not detract from the 50CC Anniversary Ride. We have now, thanks to some hard work by Gatey and Karl with the installation, provided a space for individual plaques to mounted.

Information governing the mounting of future plaques will be provided in a different thread.

This Memorial Service will have a number of plaques in place and we are asking you, our IBA Australia LDRiding community, that if you know of any family members, partners etc. of our Fallen Riders, to contact them and advise that we will be unveiling the plaques at the Memorial Service at 11am on the 23 September and that they would be very welcome to attend.

Our Ridden On Riders

David Jones, Davo. IBA # 22575 - Rode on 04th September 2009

John Ainsworth, JRA. IBA # 39183 - Rode on 08th August 2011

John Nagle, SAAZ. IBA # 59143 - Rode on 02nd October 2015

Rob Knight, Rob Roy. IBA # 60566 - Rode on 25th February 2016

Pat McLean, Toura. IBA # 49588 - Rode on 29th March 2016

Ed Brown, Ed 535, IBA # 56443 – Rode on 20th September 2022

Ken Topperwien, Toppy, IBA # 58086 - Rode on 19th February 2023

After the service, some light refreshments will be available up at the rest area, if others wished to bring something along to share it would be appreciated.

Thanks for the update TJ,
Hope we get a good turn out for the unveiling of the plaques
Fingers crossed, we agree this is a spiritual and significant location for our fallen and still present mob.

When first discussed a couple of years ago, the concept solidified finally coming to fruition into something special and unique.

We decided not to detract from the special day by not publishing any photos until after the day in a hope attendees will better savour the day.

Not long to go now!
