We did 1000km in 1 day on a Vespa

Good morning

My name is Dris, iam for the netherlands europe we like some help from you.

We have read the regulations for IBA about the 1000 Mile reward and we are practising.

Last sunday we did the 1000km a day on vespas in the netherlands and documented all on a Facebook page called VESPA IRON BUT GROUP we made foto’s for our friends with gas ticket and km amounts untill the finish and we did 1000km

We train for the 1000 mile

I was reading that we maybe also get a small sticker or recognition for this

I like to understand how we do this we can proof every km and the whole trip

Thank you for helping us and still training for the 1000 mile (-:

Hello Dris and welcome to the IBA forum. Outside the USA riders need to do the Saddle Sore 1600Km, (SS1600K), ride, not submit for the US Saddle Sore 1000, (SS1000K), mile ride.

Here is a link for the info on submitting a SS1600Km ride, (actually must be over 1610 kms!!)

Note that the IBA has a Scooter Saddle Sore ride as well, with an Gold level for scooters under 300cc. I did one on a 150cc scooter a few years ago.

Because of your location in the Netherlands, it would be much better to submit your ride to IBA Benelux since they do EU/UK and most other countries on that side of the world. It will get processed and verified with the same standards used by the IBA in the US, but will move through their system much faster since they have a lower volume and are on the same side of the world as you are. Please check out their website and understand their process and requirements for submission of a ride before you do your attempt.

Good luck and have FUN. If you are successful you will get a certificate and have access to stickers and patches along with other items for the rides you do. Both from IBA Benelux and IBA US.

That seems unlikely. My response was for a non-USA rider, whereas you claim to be in the US. How is that info what you needed? Your post seems very bot-ish. Context makes a post useful, yours has none.

Thanks for pointing that out, and fair question. I should have clarified my situation better. While I’m currently based in the US, my original planning and research included non-US submission rules, which is why that information was still relevant to me. The explanation helped me understand the correct certification path and avoid submitting under the wrong ride category. Appreciate the clarification and the reminder about context.
