Wife and I have been impressed with Accuweather. They'll tell you exactly when to expect rain and when it'll stop with scary accuracy. Not sure how good it is if you're on the move though.

I'm a fan of WeatherUnderground's "Storm" app. The wind direction overlay is helpful.

I also Intellicast.com which is also owned by Weather Underground but seems to be more geeky.

If you want to get super intense - https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/
That site is run by a grad student from Florida that take the Govt. data stream and puts it into something useable

The answer lies in how you interpret the data.

If you believe that a weather forecast 200 miles away is infallible, and you're used to how you brain interprets that forecast at home, then you're biases will influence how the interpretation is used.

Might be better to use two or even three weather sources.

Use them at home, see how accurate they are on a long term basis (e.g. three days from now, X forecasts partly cloudy and four degrees cooler than these other two.).

Geeking out on meteorology is quite useful in riding motorcycles.
