Anybody know how to display the latest map update on Basecamp, on my PC.
Garmin express no longer gives you the option of loading it to your PC.
Help would be appreciated.

Are you running Garmin Express v6.5.1.0 ? Here's what mine offered me this morningGarminExpressScreenshot.png

Hi Bob
No I'm running GE v6.7.20 and there's no mention of loading the maps to my PC.
So the answer is to un-install v6.7.20 and install v6.5.1.0
Thanks for the reply.

I think from my experience you have to dig into the update to find the button that asks to install on

1. Unit
2. Both
3. PC only

Well, that's what I did and my PC is running v 2019.1

It is also my experience that most upgrades actually are better as that is what is current and it has to be me who has had to change.

Hope you find it as I had exactly the same problem and the option was there just had to find it.

Removing the menu option to "View in GoogleEarth" was better in what way?

With what did they replace that option that is now raking in the $$ for them?

I don't think they replaced it with anything just it is not best commercial practice to direct people to a competitor. I am a big fan of Garmin but increasingly use Google Maps on my iPhone to navigate by so my point was Garmin removed the Google Link for commercial reasons not customer benefits.

Yes it does give the big picture but at 70mph, in the dark, in the rain, is hard to use whilst controlling a motor cycle!

I suspect that the reasons for link removal involved eliminating the need to maintain ever changing Google APIs and compliance with GDPR. The latter of course terrifying most US corporations because there's no profit in it.
