I want to do the border to border on Labor Day Weekend from Del Rio to Emerson. Anyone done this? Must admit, more than a little concerned about Mexico at Del Rio. Want to cross over early morning and get back across asap. Don't want to mess with insurance if only there a few minutes, but will if that's advisable. Any suggestions regarding this trip (route, insurance, anything at all)?
