Great write up and fantastic pics. The higher highway speeds are awesome almost as good as the unlimited in the NT until they reduced them to 130kph

Excellent work Sam. I had the K1600GT for several years. They are an awesome bike, but the heavy weight does require some consideration at slower/parking speeds. As Skidoo said, an excellent report and the pictures always add to the excitement and energy of the overall endeavour. We did Route 66 on bikes several years ago, so some of the scenery looks familiar!

My young bloke is in Fallon Nevada at the moment. He is doing a months training/exercises at the Naval Air Station that the US Navy have there.
