Checking some links this morning I noticed that the old forum site has crashed. Is this permanent? Intentional?

Been gone for a few months...I think the software license expired.

I just hope they've saved that data.

Does anybody know if it is true that the software license for the old forum has expired? If not, how to find the data from before 2016?

Especially the SaddleSore 10000 drive in Europe, including SaddleSore 6000 km and longer, even those in Europe. Then wondering what happened to the old forum? With kind regards Dan

i read the article and saw " available for viewing until December 31, 2019 when those licenses expire". My question is how do i get in to " the Internet Archive" for the old forum? Is it still possible? I have tried through the United States website ironbutt.org but failed, Is there any other way? Best regards Dan

So, one of a couple of things has happened...

(1) The server or the file running the old forum has croaked, based on the error message that's seen when the old forum is accessed:

Untitled.jpg
(2) The license expired early and isn't valid at this time.

Once Ira sees this, he will be able to provide a better answer.

Right now, it simply seems to be 'it's gone' - until when or if it's resurrected.

As far as the Internet Archive...start here, but I'm telling ya, there's not a lot there, I'm afraid.

I asked Mike about it. Here's his reply:

-----------------
The software is obsolete and not secure. We are working to try to
pull out the old stories and place them somewhere but no ETA.

I noted the inoperative status in July & had PM'd Ira about it at that time.

Ira - Thanks for the update.
