The first RTE of the year.
Lets start 2024 at a traditional family run Bar & Restaurant which is situated in Garrykennedy, on the south shore of Lough Derg on the River Shannon, beside Ireland’s premier pleasure lake with breathtaking views.

Usual craic, meet for lunch, talk about riding plans for the year ahead and anything else, group photo and opportunity to buy IBA Ireland clothing.

Thank you to all who came to the RTE. The food was superb and the craic was ninety, yes the weather was sub optimal at times (the Bann Valley at 6.00am was -2C and dense freezing fog, my heated seat helped melt the ice).

John O'Sullivan successfully completed the Ides of March 1000, and with outstanding planning was also able to attend the RTE during the ride in addition to bagging a couple of locations for the Photo Rallies.
