The Annual 36hr Brit Butt Rally is a photographic rally. It starts and finishes in the midlands. Riders can expect to travel all over the UK visiting places they have never seen before.
Riders arrive on Friday to check in. Rally books are issued on Friday night. Riders chose their own routes to collect points from photographing various locations
in the rally book. The ride starts at 6am Saturday morning and finishes Sunday evening at 6pm. The winner is the one who plans and executes the most efficient route in the time to gain the most points. There is also a sleep bonus where you can gain points from sleeping.
Certificates are presented to all finishers at the end of rally banquet on Sunday evening. On Bank Holiday Monday riders head home.
Entry now open www.Britbuttrally.info
Your Rally Master for the 2nd year will be Iron Butt Rally veteran

If we've got to collect items during the rally I'll need to know dimensions first so I can make changes to my packing regime
I'm sure I could get a pineapple or other fruit shaped alloy box made up and bolted on somewhere, so long as you give me a few weeks notice John

Nice one Lee
For a bike dragging a trailer that actually looks
quite good. Although a small fold up rucksack
would make more sense for the rally

John is well into planning next years Brit Butt Rally
The website is being revised
A new Premier in has been located in Leicester with a larger bar and meeting room
After the success of the Iceni rally we expect to have a full entry list. Entry will be on a first come first served basis. So don't delay your entry or you could miss the boat.

Yes I am - and more to the point Phil has given me the "go-ahead" for all of the things I have planned for you
Personally, I thought he would have said "no" to at least two of them - but he's allowed them all through !!
So, when on the Saturday night / Sunday morning you find yourself in the arse-end of no-where, you now know who to blame .....

Looks like the Rally website is now taking entries
Just had my confirmation email so see all you other nutters again next May
Now just got to sort my newly acquired oil leak on the Beemer
Looks like it's going to be expensive
(main balancer shaft seal and split the bike in half to get to it).
Maybe I should have bought an Explorer instead

That didn't take long first entry 4 minutes after it went live and without
us telling you all it was open, was that just lucky or are you all sadder
than I thought watching a page that only changes twice a year

Yes we are now accepting entries for the Brit Butt Rally 2016.
The rally will start and finish nr Leicester.
Entry fee is reduced this year so you can make use of a meal deal on Saturday evening.
Full details will be sent out within a couple of days of you entering.
We expect the entries to go up after the success of the Iceni Rally so don't delay if you are thinking of entering

There is rally stuff at the National meeting in a few weeks. You can come along to just the Saturday daytime stuff if your not into Christmas dinners.
See separate thread on here

There wasn't a huge number of locations up there this year so maybe 2016 will be different.
A photo and receipt from a Whisky Distillery would be a first I think, but you wouldn't need to go all the way up to Scotland for that as we have our very own here in the East.
In fact I remember John asking me all about it during the Iceni Rally
The English Whisky Company

No, no Mark - use the power of positive thought.
It will be dry and sunny, the roads will be empty and the points will be
plentiful.
Peace out.
