Yesterday I completed a BB Gold ride
Within that ride I completed an SS 1000 around Wyoming
Can I use the insta cert app , on my computer for nesting this ride ,or do I need to do two seperate ride applications
Normally you can't nest a SS1K ride inside a BBG ride. The reason is that by default, if you rode 1500 miles in 24 hours, you had to have ridden 1000 miles in 24 hours. I'm not sure the In-State part matters. If you want to go for it anyway, you shouldn't need to submit it as two separate applications.
The common nesting example is a SS1K inside a BB1500. Because the BB1500 ride allows 36 hours, it is possible to complete it w/o necessarily riding a SS1K in 24 hours.
Eric is absolutely correct however here’s the provision for nesting in-state rides in BBGs. It’s a recent change … it’s in the fine print at the bottom:
@Jeff McDonald - And we both learn something new! Great to see the exception in print now with clear clarification in the description.
@outdoorsntn - For nested rides like this, is it still true that for the purposes of counting rides toward a Mile Eater award level, only the larger ride can be counted in a nested pair or group of rides? Or can the rider pick one to use, but not use the other?
@EricV - It is hard to be general with nested rides as some 'very few' circumstances warrant an exception. Suggest if a Premier rider has a question on nesting, they may contact Premier at [email protected]. Hope this helps.
