No Word on Application for Saddlesore 1000

Hey there!

I submitted my application for my Saddlesore 1000 in September 2023, and have yet to hear back on the status of my application. I’ve reached out to Michael Kneebone, submitted questions to the IBA contact form on the website, and have emailed multiple IBa addresses.

I’d just like to know whether my application was rejected. No hard feelings, would just love to know what mistakes I made.

How did you submit your application? Electronically or by mail? If electronically, what email address did you use and did you get an auto response that it was received?

I sent in my application on April 19th. I have sent a few emails and have not heard anything back at all. Do you guys let us know if it wasn’t approved? How long does it take?

@James B. - Typically it takes 12-16 weeks and can run into 6 months. There are a lot of rides being submitted now that the weather has gotten better. No need to worry about it. If there is an issue, they will contact you. No issues, no email, you're good so far.
 
But what if it takes more than 6 months? Me and my friends, we sent our applications in October 2023. We got the message - ride application has been received and is in the queue for processing. But nothing has happened so far.

Poland might take a bit longer.

There are fewer verification teams for cert rides outside the US. Maybe only one. It often takes quite a while. You can try PMing Howard Entman from this forum, but I don't know if he has access to those.
 
Sounds good. Thank You for information. We've almost lost hope. You know, cold beer for celebration prepared, place on the vest for pin/patch prepared and only there is no certificate. What a nightmare! ;)

Last month we had first anniversary of sending our applications. Do You think that it is possible to wait so long? In my opinion the main problem is the lack of information while waiting. When You have been waiting for a long time and You don't know why. If You have to wait longer, application is wrong or maybe lost (somewhere in time and space).
If anyone can help?
Christmas is coming - maybe a miracle will happen ;)

@EricV above succinctly responded with the why portion of your query. Rather than take the time to respond to those that are waiting, the verification team is working through the queue of others who have also waited long periods of time for their rides to be certified.

All of us have waited...that's part of why other rides are planned & executed while the process churns away.

At this point, I would contact IBA Benelux and likely submit your ride to them. Contact page. They do IBA European rides now and your ride submitted to the US team may be stuck in a pile on someone's desk in the US. Their General Procedures. It may differ from how you have submitted your ride earlier.
 
Good news. This is the end of a story. My application has been checked positively by IBA Benelux. Now, the question is, if You can cancel somehow our applications which we sent last year (me and my two friends) to IBA USA?
 
saw someone get their certificate last night for a ride that was submitted after mine. my ride was 9/5 submitted 9/11 their ride was 9/18 and they already have their stuff that was ordered i guess it just depends on who's working that day i haven't heard anything back on mine yet other than the auto response. unless they approved my ride a long time ago and email was sent to the wrong address i have no clue.
