Sorry if I've missed something on the IBUK website, but I have a question regarding how mileage is calculated during the verification process.
Is it done on shortest distance between 2 points, or quickest time?
As an example I'm looking at a leg between Fishguard to Pontyates. The route I would ride is 53 miles and take around 1hr 12 minutes, however according to google maps, the shortest distance is an alternative route of 47 miles, but with an estimated travel time of 1 hr 20 minutes.
I know we're only talking a difference of 6 miles and 8 minutes, but that can add up over 1000miles and 24 hours.
