I am doing my research for the Ultimate Coast-to-Coast ride and plan to do it in a few years.
I have some questions about doing long rides in general, but I will relate it to a possibility towards this ride. Can multiple bikes be used to accomplish a multi-day ride?
I am thinking about shipping my bike to the Harley / BMW dealer in Fairbanks, but really don't want to use it to do the Dalton Hwy portion of the ride. Would it be permissible to rent an adventure bike in Fairbanks, ride it up to Prudhoe Bay for the start of the ride, record the milage with a receipt for this bike there for the start of the challenge and upon return to the rental location in Fairbanks, obtain a receipt with the time, date and milage on the rental receipt, and then record the milage and obtain a receipt with the time and date stamp for my bike at or near this location and throughout the rest of the trip?
