An IBA series of rides you may want to consider riding with dates 14 June to 20 December each year is the IBA U.S. Armed Services Birthday Ride series. This series shortly follows our Memorial Day, a day in which we honor, pause and remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, giving their life while serving in our Armed Services to protect our freedom.
Dates are:
14 June: United States Army
04 August: United States Coast Guard
18 September: United States Air Force
13 October: United States Navy
10 November: United States Marine Corps
20 December: United States Space Force
Historical Markers database searches and really any search you do online for any of our armed forces branches… just gotta say, if you are anything like me… you’ll be amazed of the interesting locations for each branch that comes up, many within a 500 mile radius of home. Please, please… don’t forget to search ‘NASA’ locations for our U.S. Space Force locations. Interesting is we found a location here in Tennessee which designed and manufactured ‘Space Suit’ components for early NASA missions.
