50cc itinerary

On March 3rd, I plan to depart from San Diego, CA towards Florida to do my first 50cc (I only have 3 SS1000k), My motorcycle is a K1600B with 7 gallons but I don't like to travel nervously because of gasoline, I have planned stops close to 200 miles, what do you think?

I like it. I've used the "Shady Grove Truck Stop" for fueling up my F450 with Diesel, great prices. Kind of a shady place though.

We are planning our ride for September 2023, going to try to nest a BBG and SS2KG inside the 50CC Quest.

There will be 3 of us on the journey. 2 H-D Touring Bikes (6 Gallon Tanks) and a Triumph Tiger 1200 (7.9 Gallon Tank). On my M8 Road Glide Special 44MPG was the worst economy I got on a cross country ride. We still need to verify how well the Twin Cam 103 will do for MPG. The big tank on the Triumph negates any worry for range.

FWIW.....I have an aux tank on my goldwing, so these are my planned stops. I hope to nest a BBG along with the 50CC. This will be my return trip after doing the I40E2E running it east to west. I hope to finish off the I40E2E by running from Barstow down to SD within the 50CC timeline, which might allow me to nest a BBG and I40E2E inside a 50CC. If my times work out, I should be able to do the 50CC east-west in 49 hours and the 50CC below in about 45 hours. Note...I have the E-W run planned at 2734 miles and the W-E run will only be 2366. Both of my routes have an 8 hour layover at the 1500 mile mark.

Having the ability to run just a little bit further before refueling, certainly limits the number of stops required. Nice.

Roy Kyndal and I did this run in 2020, I-40 E2E Gold, continued on to San Diego for the 50cc and di the BBG from Wilmington to Van Horne.

Keep in mind that when you nest rides, for mile eater purposes you can only claim one ride. Something to think about, and remember you need a certain # of "gold level" rides
