My parts done and dusted. I was wakened by the alarm at 1 am. Dressed, juice and banana/honey on toast finished and I was off. For some strange reason my heated clothing didn't play the game on the chilly 3-9 degrees run to Eden. It was just as well I left early as the servo lady opened up at 5 am. and Bam arrived. Quick introductions and we headed southbound.
What a superb ride through the tall tree to Bairnsdale for fuel, then back into it for a very good leg into Melbourne [Port Melbourne]. Lynne and Michael were ready to takeover leading duties as I had a sandwich and a small coke just to keep the sugar levels up. He said that he thoroughly enjoyed the ride through the mountains, it reminded him of a rally he did recently that had two days of similar riding, all good.
I'm sure that it won't take much rocking for me to crash later on, after just over a thousand kilometres for the day.
Bam couldn't believe that riders were set to escort him at various stages on his ride. My reply was, "It's what we do".

I caught up with Bam about 60 km from Kingston SE just as the sun was setting. I led the way for IMG20231002203324_resize_77.jpg about 300km along the coorang and then through Adelaide before leaving him on his own 90km from his rest stop. It was great to catch up with him ever so briefly after meeting him several months ago at the IBR. We had quite a light show and wind storm coming into Adelaide, hope it will die down before his crossing of the Nullabor tomorrow.

No fuel docket photo at Balladonia. No fuel or just an oversight? Whatever, he's ahead of the planned time.
Over 3000 views of the SPOT- obviously a lot of interest apart from Australian riders.
20 minutes early at Norseman. Now I'm off to bed- 2 hours before Bam can get to bed after his biggest day for the Lap.

Edit- the Norseman docket is for DIESEL!
