LTP and I are leaving for Melb soon to meet Bam at his Port Melb refuel, and we will likely ride with him for a bit. We will try and get some pics of Bam along the way.

Looks like Bam has settled into his ride rhythm, he would have had a glorious ride through the forests of south east NSW and into Victoria. Melbourne awaits him!

His Spot Track shows that he is past the major bush-fire in the Bainsdale / Stratford area. Hopefully he has clear skies and a gentle wind from now on.

Checked his path through the VIC fires on the VIC Emergencies Website. He should be clear of the major fires both sides of Melbourne and be threading his way past the bad stuff that's close enough to have him breathing smoke. Looks like he'll be ok. Price of fuel might be burning a hole in his pocket, but that as close as he should get.

Biggles, I spent the long weekend up in SE Qld and petrol at $2.60 litre was a shock to the system! (and wallet)

He's about to discover how big and empty this old island is. Gotta love his ambition to arrive on a plane and pretty much jump on a bike and go. 10/10 for effort and an impressive start. Will be interesting to see how the HD holds up to the steady pace. My brother had two of the things and they seemed to be ok on the longer runs. At least the pistons won't be glazed on this one! Hoping for fair winds and cool temps.
