Reports During ET16

The bike has been picked up & I think it unlikely that I'll see it again so there was a glint in my eye as I said farewell. I would just like to mention the hospitality offers by a Slovakian family who feed and watered me and made a couple of trips to the local hospital and have even paid for the taxi to Bratislava for my flight home. I could not have been treated better. So I'll be returning with a case of English wine. I guess it's time to think about a replacement bike!!!

Dave. "orestesdjc" just called. He dropped his bike...

"Dropped it..."

That's A-one drop when you have to say goodbye and part from it.

Sad to hear, Dave - but good to hear from you. Get well and get a new bike.

All riders accounted for in Brno
Txt bonus handed out for 2ND leg riders leave Tuesday between 5 and 8 am after 12 hr stop

Most arrived very wet as the storm that was moving west to east followed them across!!

The riders enjoyed a light meal of soup with sausages and Pork with potatoes and mushroom sauce with a few drinks
The room and meal was paid for by part of the rally fee. There was no scoring at this stage so riders were able to relax and socialise before retiring to their rooms to plan the next 3 1/2 days of riding and get some sleep

Danny arrived early so used the couple of hours to use some of his 16 hrs sleep bonus and so earn points until he wanted to start his 12 hrs of compulsory stop.
To document the end of his he bought a large bowl of ice cream to get a receipt.

We were in rain most of the day across Austria

Robert posted on facebook that he is in Ireland having had problems at the Euro tunnel. If he wants he can claim points for the ferry and sleep bonus together on the ferry to Ireland. But not on the channel tunnel as its a train through a tunnel not a ferry

I believe Martin did a large loop and returned to Brno as he liked the hotel so much.

He's on the road again. Got a new final drive fitted. Leaving out north of Denmark but then heading back to Stuttgart via Calais!!!

Looks like Daniel is in Finland. Is he taking the ferry to Sweden before heading south. Loads of points as its a long ferry and can be a sleep bonus as well. Is John up there too. He was going to Lithuania.
It's a route that can equal if not beat the one to Portugal and the one to Ireland.

Who will execute their plan the best? We could know on Saturday after the bonus points are totted up.

Daniel has returned to Estonia and John is heading to Denmark. Robert left Ireland by larne ferry to Scotland. They have just 27 hrs to return to Stuttgart. Max 1000 miles possible for an iron butt rider even after 4 days

Ready for the txt in bonuses between 6 and 8 CEST when riders tell me their number, last bonus and next bonus. If they get it right it's an easy 1000 points. But will they remember after traveling Europe for 4 days.

Text in Bonus
During the meal in Brno on Monday evening the riders were given a piece of paper each.
